The prestigious Salmagundi Art Club will soon unveil an exhibition of works by its artist-members, whose paintings, sculptures, and works on paper will fill nearly every wall throughout the club's historic building.

The Salmagundi Art Club of New York will premiere its Annual Members' Exhibition on March 26. The exhibition will be installed throughout the club's building, while a concurrent show from the American Watercolor Society occupies the Upper and Lower Galleries. A reception for the participating artists will be held on April 3, from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

The SCNY Annual Members' Exhibition features a selection of club members whose work spans a variety of media: oil, watercolor, pastel, graphics, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. The club will be presenting works from over 140 of its artists -- chosen to represent a nationwide membership of more than 850 -- including both established artists and emerging talent. Participating artists include Daniel Greene, Kathleen Gray, Leah Lopez, Matthew M. Schulz, Andrew Lattimore, John C. Traynor, and Mitsu Walters.

The Salmagundi Art Club is located at 47 5th Avenue in Lower Manhattan. To learn more, visit the Salmagundi Club website.

"Lady Liz" is among the paintings in this unique exhibition, and can be viewed in the Parlor.

My Mentor, My Friend, My Art - by Jane Hart

Jane Hart, a dear friend and artist wrote this blog in honor of our relationship over the past several years.

I very clearly recall the day we met at the Art Students League in Studio 7 and as they say 'the rest is history'.  Since then we have shared many memorable times.  In this little story Jane speaks of our friendship and inspiration.  I wish to add that it has been wonderful for me and inspiring to me to watch Jane's successes and to see how driven she is in her art.  I invite you to visit her Blog at Pets By Hart and then, meet the Artist in person this Sunday, November 24 from 2 PM - 4:30 details below...
